Malbec

A distinctive French Malbec which combines a spicy nose and the tannins that bring elegant length.

APPELLATION > Vin de France

GRAPE VARIETY > 100% Malbec

SOIL > Grapes come from two different vineyards:

-    the first is where the soils are very warm and strewn with galets (rounded stones)
-    the second one is located on cool and deep soils.

VINIFICATION > The grapes are harvested when they are at their peak of ripeness. They are then vinified in concrete tanks under monitored temperatures. Traditional maceration lasts 2 to 3 weeks then, after the grapes are pressed, the wine is aged on oak for added complexity.

TASTING NOTES > Endowed with ruby colour, Malbec is a powerful wine, with a spicy nose reminiscent of liquorice and both red and black fruit. It is supple on the palate though well structured, with fine tannins that give elegant length.

FOOD & WINES > Served at 16°C, this Malbec will perfectly match with Mediterranean food, pizza, couscous or tagine. It will also be perfect with deli meats, cheeses and a grilled red meat. Delicious with a chocolate dessert!
